COVID-19 Update: My practice has moved online. I am safely seeing clients via Zoom.
I earned my doctorate in 2018 in psychology: marriage and family therapy from Ryokan College. My master's degree, also in marriage and family therapy was from Phillips Graduate Institute in 1997. I have done extensive post-doctoral training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) under a slew of highly-respected trainers and the amazng creator of EFT, Dr. Sue Johnson. I have trained and continue to train in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and in the incomparably successful Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT). I plan to complete the certification process to be an EFT trainer myself one day. My B.A. is in Deaf studies (with an emphasis in the arts & education) from CSUN, as is my CLAD teaching credential. Both my master's thesis and doctoral dissertation were on the subject of treating the family as a system when one member comes out as LGBTQIA++. My internships were at the Los Angeles LGBT Community Services Center and Valley Family Center.
